When anyone other than Jesus claims ownership of a local church, the life of that church begins to suffer. Christ purchased the church with His own blood and is always the rightful, sovereign Owner.
Under shepherds must work to nurture unity with the church. Four key ingredients should be encouraged that will work to create this unity and allow the Spirit to move within our churches.
Prayer is the necessary first step but often the most overlooked. Our connection to the Head, to Jesus, is what enables us to reach those within our church family and to reach those out in the world.
