The life and activity of Jesus begins by grace, is embraced by faith, and maintained through worship and a first love relationship with Jesus.
When church leaders and pastors are in the habit of observing God’s grace at work in our church, we then are compelled to respond with acts of faith. Acts of grace are calls to make much of Jesus, pray, and obey.
Pastors must be masters at observing and recognizing these moments of grace and drawing their flock’s attention to them.
When Jesus is given His rightful spot as Head of the local church, pastors can begin and should begin to shepherd the congregation in prayer, the vital connection to the Head.
Great relief comes when we remember that is indeed Jesus Who will build His church, not a pastor’s own strength and power.
Doing ministry is more than just getting the job done. It’s an opportunity to connect with the God of the universe and people you love.
As long as people are involved in ministry, it’s going to be messy. This didn’t stop Jesus from embracing servant leadership and whole submission, and it shouldn’t stop us.
How can pastors and church leaders allow God to do His work in His church? Allow a gust of the Holy Spirit to blow in some refreshing air.
When you compare and contrast the attraction and attachment models, you see that attraction comes up short, and we can never give people anything less than Christ Jesus Himself.
